Extensive and consistent quality control is necessary in the Nogales market. FoodSource expanded our operations into Nogales in September 2005 ensuring our customers’ needs are effectively being met. The FoodSource Nogales facility allows us to provide procurement and consolidation services in that region, while monitoring the quality and availability of the product we offer our customers.
Much like the other three FoodSource offices, the Nogales operation excels because of the extensive knowledge and experience provided by the management team. Rod Sbragia manages the FoodSource Nogales office. He has over twenty years of experience in the produce industry and strong relationships with many growers in Mexico. Rod’s relationships and experience in Nogales allows us to create customized foodservice and retail programs that provide logistics and buying solutions.
The Nogales facility extends our services beyond the fall and winter with purchasing out of the Southern California region during the summer months. The facility is HAACP and Primus Certified with onsite quality control.
Consumers have come to expect high quality fruits and vegetables from Mexico and our Nogales office allows FoodSource to have greater control over all products that go on our customers’ trucks.
